Smooth Steppers of Memphis (SSOM) definitely turned it "ALL THE WAY UP" this year at the ninth (9th) Annual Steppin "N" Paradise, held July 13th-15th in Memphis, Tennessee. Steppers from 13 different states all across the country came together under one roof to step the night away.
Friday Night was "Rep Yo City" in T-Shirts! What a great way to set it off this year. This opening night not only displayed the uniformity of each city, but above all it demonstrated a "Paradise" of unending unity among each of the cities represented individually and collectively.
This year's event included 4 incredible parties and 3 power packed workshops. If you missed the classes you definitely missed a treat. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or a seasoned stepper, the instructors were definitely worthy of facilitating these sessions. Patrick Moore, Kevin "Doc" Dockery, and Keith "The Navigator" Hubbard certainly left the Steppers with a new found appreciation for the hardwood.
Oh and how can we forget this year's musical host Myron "The R" Robinson and Pony "The Express" Mack, and our lustrous M.C., Keith "The Navigator" Hubbard, who had a dual role. These gentlemen were most definitely the heartbeat of every jam packed party.
Saturday's Main Event: The Smooth Steppers of Memphis took it "All The Way Up". Walking into the main event, the ladies were greeted by a HANDSOME male model that set the atmosphere by placing a lei around each ladies neck. The fellas weren't left out at all. They were saluted by a BEAUTIFUL female model, who took it "All The Way Up" for them as well. SSOM did it again. The ballroom was purely breathtaking. It was gorgeous and simply stunning, and the food was outstanding.
SSOM makes history year after year with their "all you can eat" buffet, with the finest food. The food selections were remarkably superb. The Farewell Brunch was the closing of a "Year of Elevation". The committee has truly taken it to the top. The weekend was extraordinary and unforgettable, and one that will be remembered in the hearts and minds of all who attended.
Smooth Steppers of Memphis, you deserve a heartfelt thank you for the time, commitment, and dedication that was put into this awesome event to make it a success
Listen in to what some of the satisfied customers had to say:
"Thank you Rose and Patrick Moore and the Smooth Steppers of Memphis for a classy elegant and fun four days. Steppin "N" Paradise definitely was a five star hospitality venue. The food and people were simply marvelous. The musical DJs, Myron Robinson and Pony Mack were awesome, and MC Keith Hubbard was on point. I had a ball. I appreciate portions of my money going to St. Jude Children and Memphis programs for children. I look forward to seeing you in Paradise 2019, God Bless", Gwen Golden.

"The hospitality is truly exceptionalmuch love SSOM, #danceluv. Thank you Smooth Steppers of Memphis, it was a smooth Steppin experience, until next time", Kennetha Randle.
From the words of Rose Moore "Go Where Everybody Knows Your Name". What's in a name? Knowing your customers by name helps to build loyalty, and it makes them feel important, relaxed and comfortable. It also establishes a friendly rapport that can go such a long way in making them feel good about their experiences with you.
The SSOM has become one of the most successful Steppin organizations. They are known for their great customer service, love, respect and concern for others, and their AWESOME hospitality (hands down). They demonstrate confidence and leadership, always positive, communicating and interacting with everyone, and simply doing it right. They go the extra mile to make you happy, which is the essence of why Steppers attend an amazing event such as Steppin "N" Paradise.
Some perks you receive when you attend Steppin "N" Paradise includes; unlimited food, no additional cost for Workshops, and Day Party.
Some takeaways include; board members are pleasant and friendly to others, and they are good at and love what they are doing.
Cheers to another year as good as or even greater than last year. SSOM you deserve the HIGHEST honor for your dedication, commitment and ranking as one of the best. Without a doubt, Steppin "N" Paradise 2018 was one of the most inspiring, exciting and wonderful events.
Stay Tuned: You don't want to miss the 10th Anniversary of Steppin "N" Paradise. The Smooth Steppers are going to bring the HEAT.
